Hi, I am so glad you're here! I am passionate about working with adults who are wanting to explore deeper trauma healing and want therapy that goes beyond coping skills. Oftentimes, when living with the effects of trauma, it can feel as if you are stuck in patterns that do not reflect who you are. I love serving clients who have faced challenges in sobriety and who are navigating substance use alongside trauma. I take a non-judgmental, harm-reduction informed stance. Healing does not require perfection or immediate change. It requires safety, honesty, and support.
I use attachment-based EMDR to help process trauma and negative beliefs of self in a way that feels safe, connected, and paced to your nervous system. I also incorporate parts-informed work, honoring the protective roles different parts of you developed to survive, and helping build internal trust without shame or pressure.
I approach therapy with the belief that your symptoms make sense. Rather than focusing on what needs to be "fixed" we work together to understand what your system has been protecting you from and how to avoid getting stuck. Please feel free to contact me via phone or email and we can chat to see how we would best work together.
EMDR is a type of therapy that helps your brain process and heal from difficult or overwhelming experiences. Sometimes when something hard happens, it can get "stuck," and you might keep feeling the same distress even when the situation is over. EMDR helps your brain reprocess those memories so they feel less intense and more like something in the past, instead of something that still feels present.
During sessions, we'll gently bring up parts of a memory while you follow a simple back-and-forth movement (like moving your eyes or tapping). This helps your brain do its natural healing work. You stay in control the whole time, and we go at a pace that feels safe for you.
Mindfulness-based self-compassion is a way of learning to treat yourself with the same kindness and understanding you would offer to someone you care about. Instead of judging or criticizing yourself when things feel hard, it helps you pause, notice what you're feeling, and respond with gentleness.
In sessions, we practice simple skills like slowing down, paying attention to the present moment, and speaking to ourselves in a more supportive way. Over time, this can help you feel less overwhelmed, more balanced, and more connected to yourself.
Attachment-focused, relational therapy looks at how your early relationships and life experiences have shaped the way you connect with others—and with yourself. Patterns like pulling away, people-pleasing, or feeling anxious in relationships often make sense when we understand where they come from.
In our work together, the relationship we build becomes part of the healing. We pay attention to what comes up between us in a safe, supportive way, so you can experience being understood and accepted. Over time, this can help you feel more secure, communicate your needs more clearly, and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships.
You might notice that different "parts" of you show up in different moments; like a part that feels anxious, a part that pulls away, or a part that tries to keep the peace in relationships. In our work, we get to know these parts with curiosity instead of judgment, understanding that each one developed for a reason, often shaped by early relationships and attachment experiences.
We use mindfulness and self-compassion to slow things down and create a sense of safety, so you can notice what's coming up and respond to yourself with kindness. We also pay attention to how these parts show up in your relationships—including in our work together—so you can begin to feel more secure, understood, and supported.
When it feels right, we can use EMDR to help certain parts process and release past experiences that may still feel stuck or overwhelming. Over time, this approach helps you feel more connected to yourself, more secure in relationships, and better able to support all parts of you with compassion and clarity.
One hour individual session costs $135 when paying without insurance benefits. At this time, I am working with clients that have Cigna, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Select Health.
